What an awesome night celebrating our KKCC whānau at Prizegiving on Friday at the Kerikeri Homestead Sports Bar & Bistro.

What an amazing turnout! Such a great way to wrap up the season with plenty of laughs, proud moments, and well-deserved recognition all round.

Congratulations to every single cricketer on a great season and representing our club with pride!

🏏🏏 ATTENTION HUBS WHANAU 🏏🏏

Following a review of the weather and ground conditions, tonight’s Hub Smash training has been cancelled.

The forecast indicates the weather is expected to deteriorate around 4:00pm, which would make it unsuitable for play.

It has been incredibly frustrating for everyone this season, with the weather playing a much bigger part than usual and disrupting a number of our sessions.

Thanks to all our players and families for your patience and understanding. I appreciate the continued support of the club and hope for some better conditions soon.

Kerikeri Cricket Club – Hub Smash Update

Due to the significant amount of rain over the past week, and with more rain forecast today, today’s KKCC Hub Smash session will be under review.

We will continue to monitor ground conditions and the weather, and a final decision will be made between 12:00pm and 1:00pm today as to whether the hubs will go ahead this afternoon Please keep an eye on this page for updates.

🏏 Reminder: Families and parents are also asked to please ensure they have booked their place for the End of Season Presentation Night. We’d love to see all our players and families there to celebrate a fantastic season!

KKCC Players Representing Northland This Weekend

A big weekend ahead with Northland junior representative teams travelling to Auckland on Sunday and we’re proud to see six Kerikeri Cricket Club players named across the squads.

Congratulations to Will Anderson, Kobi Nock, Prince Patel, Jordan Petersen, Anika Beren and Tara Perry who will all be representing Northland this weekend. Awesome recognition for the hard work these players have been putting in this season.

We wish them and all the Northland teams the best of luck! Play hard and represent Northland with pride!

This is your invite those of you who can make it to Prizegiving on Friday the 20th of March at the Homestead.

Date: Friday the 20th of March
Time: From 5.30pm - prizegiving kicks off at 5.45pm, dinner 6.15pm
Location: The Homestead (Garden Bar out the back)
Cost: $15 / adult and $10 / child which includes a meal.

Junior hub will still be running that evening, and we will head to prizegiving after finishing training.

* The cost includes a barbeque buffet type meal.
* Vegetarian and gluten free options available with notice to the kitchen

Please note, if you have a child who would prefer to eat the adult meal, they can pay $15 and be included in the adult numbers.

I’ll ascertain what the menu is hopefully get that out to you all asap.

Drinks will be available to purchase at the bar.

Please make payment to the bank account below by Tuesday the 17th of March so we can finalise numbers with the bar early that week.

🏏🏏 WINNING WAYS! 🏏🏏

A hugely successful weekend for the KKCC this weekend!

KKCC Barfoot & Thompson Seniors win three on the trot! Senior men’s team had the privilege to play their match on Cobham Oval taking on the City Reserves.

Taking confidence following a tight win against Tiki then a strong winning draw against Maungakaramea the lads kept City to 9/142 thanks to Pat Goodwin’s second 5-wicket haul for the season with 5/19 from 12 overs.

The chase…oh the chase!

Contributions from Lenny Clarke (29 off 51)) and Justin Peterson (42 off 32) and Will Anderson (31* off 60) kept the runs flowing however City kept the pressure on with regular wickets.

The father-son pairing of Shane and Will working together during a heart-stopping finish to get the lads over the line!

RAVENS GO BACK TO BACK! Back to back wins for the first time in the teams history!

The girls finished their innings at 4/88, highlighted by a powerful 23no from Anika Beren. Their bowling and fielding were sublime, with contributions by many players.

At the start of the last over Maungakaramea needed 5 to win and 4 to draw…enter Tara Perry. With the coldest of ice in her veins she sent down •1••••. Ravens win by 3!

THUNDER CONTINUE THEIR UNBEATEN RUN!

Our KKCC Thunder have put on stellar performances week on week, undefeated all season, 9 on the bounce!

Yesterday was no different, batting first they posted 4/172 off their allotted 20 overs. Kobi Nock the standout with a powerful 31 off 20 deliveries with Keegan Botha chipping in with 20 off 18.

The Thunder’s pressure in field backed up some tight bowling and kept Onerahi to 5/57 off their 20 overs.

They’re incredibly strong across all facets of their game and with two games to go, here’s hoping the Thunder boys can go through undefeated!

The development of this team has been astounding this season! Always smiling and encouraging each other and treating their opponents with respect and FairPlay.

They epitomise all of the values that the KKCC holds.

DIVISION ONE continue to put in strong performances and yesterday was no exception.

Playing Tikipunga, they bowled them out for 44, at one stage had them 4/2 thanks to a blinding first over from Harry Bramall (2/2 off 3 overs).

The boys chased down the total without issue, with the ever-reliable Prince Patel seeing the team over the line.

🏏🏏 RAVENS WIN! 🏏🏏

Exciting news this week with our all girls team the Ravens taking out a win last weekend!

With aggressive batting and the Duckworth Lewis System coming into play the girls came away with the points!

And the top things off the team was paid a visit by Northland Districts Coach, Artha, attended their training session this week where he has identified a further two Ravens to be part of the Northland development squad!

A huge congratulations and fantastic work girls!
