Kia ora whanau members
It is with regret that the piako eels league club has had to pull out of the hauraki games for this year.
A month ago I retired my position and asked for interest in coordinators , coaches and team members to contact me at school. There was no response. Two weeks ago a meeting was announced to see if there was still interest in the club. One person showed.
Now I have recently been asked when league starts and what’s happening. If someone is keen to start up the club and coordinate please see me either today or tomorrow and I can let hauraki league know by the end of the week. Games start term 2 so you will need teams and coaches selected by the end of school holidays. I can add to school newsletter and this page by end of week.

First Rugby League Games of the season in Whitianga, on the 7th of May. Piako Eels have registered U6, U8 and U12 teams to play. So players and parents be ready to commit to the season from 1st May.
Training begins first week of term 2 (May 1st) for U6 and U8 teams. Every Monday 3.30pm at Kerepehi School. U12 team training to be confirmed. Any questions please post here.

Will post the Hauraki 2017 League Draw later today. Please note the home and away games. Players are expected to be at all games...NOT just home games.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday 4th April at 3.30pm, Kerepehi School Hall. We need to confirm numbers and teams. So far it looks like we definately have an u6 and u8 team. Birth Certificate or Passport number will be required (if I have this from last year that is sufficient) and photos will be taken of all players. This is a Rugby League requirement for proof of age.
