From Auckland Transport re Sandspit Wharf closure:

Auckland Transport will be at Sandspit Wharf next Thursday to chat with anyone who’s got questions about the Sandspit wharf repair works. Feel free to drop by if you’re curious, and please spread the word to your contacts, residents, and friends! 😊

Come along and talk with us about the Sandspit Wharf repairs.

A regular inspection of Sandspit Wharf in Warkworth has found that some of the timber piles have deteriorated further. Vehicle access across part of the wharf has been temporarily closed while a repair plan is put in place. This is necessary to manage safety risks, particularly as heavy vehicles such as fuel tankers regularly use the wharf. Auckland Transport has worked with local contractor LDE to develop repair options for the damaged piles. We would like to invite locals to a small drop-in session to hear more about the proposed repairs, ask questions, and share any feedback or concerns. Please join us if you have any questions.

Drop-in session details
Date: Thursday 4 June
Time: 11.30am-12pm
Location: Sandspit Wharf

Anzac Service KBC Midday Saturday 25th be there for the service of our fallen soldiers as we remember them and their families sacrifices to give us the world we live in today.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. The Ode of Remembrance has been recited to commemorate wartime service and sacrifice since 1921.
