I’m not gonna lie, I t’s been a rather s**t year. One of those that you just want to be over and done with, after a whole lot of upheaval and huge unplanned changes.
As part of that, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to leave the property that Karaka XC was built on, and with it, my dream of creating a cool little XC facility that was really only in its infancy. Therefore, unfortunately Karaka XC will not reopen for schooling.
I’m more than gutted – I really loved the creative side of jump building, and loved watching riders having a great time enjoying them, as well as my own kids trying them out and watching the confidence they and their horses have developed.
Some of the xc jumps have already sold, and to be honest it’s been really sad for me watching them head off to their new homes.
I would love to keep a hand in the building of new jumps, so please message me if you’re after anything. I will also have a list up in the next few weeks of “second hand but near new” jumps that are still available to purchase.
I’m a little time-poor at the moment, with work, study, and caring for my daughter who has broken her ankle (there goes the first half of her season!), so I will get to that part of it when I can.
Thank you to everyone who has visited Karaka XC, and for your kind words of encouragement about the facility - it’s really meant a lot to me and I’m just disappointed that I have not been able to continue on with my little project that was my passion and enjoyment.
All the best for the coming season, to you and your trusty steeds!
xx
