Come to the conclusion it is now time to shut the Feral Greyhounds page down.
For me Greyhounds have been a passion and to see them do what they love doing was rewarding. The amount of care and time that goes in to these athletes is immense.
Winning with a hound was a bonus. A bigger bonus though was seeing them in the Kennels greeting you with tails wagging. The excitement of being able to run in the paddocks, going to the races or just going for a walk alert looking for a small animal or bird of interest being a sighthound.
Finally I am lucky because my time in Greyhound racing in the UK/NZ was always a hobby. I feel greatly those who's lively hood has been taken away and for those who cared passionately about their hounds.
To finish I would like to say a Big Thanks to all the people who helped, advised and befriended me. They know who they are.😀
I would also like to say a massive Thank You to the people who have taken my athletes and turned them in to Couch Potatoes. It is so rewarding to see picture of our "rescued" 🤣 Sorry I mean retired dogs living a life of luxury.

Zac (Taieri Gout) tried his hardest to stay with the top dogs in NZ but found them a little to hot. He did himself and Ray proud by finishing fourth. Zac is in the white rug.

Last big night of racing at Addington tomorrow.
Zac (Taieri Gout) runs in the 12th race The 2026 New Zealand Championship with a total prize money of $50,000.He has the white rug and will need to leave the boxes sharply. Up against quality dogs it should be a great race.
In the 3rd race Georgie Pie runs out of box 4 in the C4 bi***es race. The TAB comment "In the money last time at this track (17.19) in a Class 4, finishing a nose second. Has four successes and seven minors from 16 starts from box 4. Hard to beat with even luck."

Not commented too many times on the stories the Anti Greyhound brigade put on social media but this shows you the type of scum we are dealing with.
They put this picture up on their site to try to get people to believe that the greyhound with the 2 rug on is being "CHOKED".
Just hope they come knocking on my door to complain 😡😡

Two runners to watch today at Addington.
Taieri Gout runs in the 8th race Heat 1 of the NZ Championship. He runs out of box 6 so hoping for a quick exit from the boxes.
Georgie Pie runs in the 11th wearing the gold rug again hoping for a quick exit to show her best.

Even races but all stand a chance if they get the right runs. Clean run races and coming off sound and safe is what it is all about.

Zac (Taieri Gout) runs in the 9th out of box 5 looks a tough race but hoping he can make the first bend cleanly.
Kit Kat (One Up) runs in race 3 out of box 3. Again a tough race but hopefully a clear run will help him.
