2nd annual fixture vs Hororata Black Diamonds Golden Oldies Rugby Team was last Sunday. Kavaliers had a full bus and showed up eager to have a few refreshments and take the field with a great golden oldies team and they certainly were in for a treat.
The sun shone as it kicked off and the game was a great spectacle again with everyone going home safe and injury free. Thanks to everyone who arranged and helped out and the food at the after match was exceptional.
Big thanks to the guys who pulled on a blue and gold jersey to help out.
Player of the day was Purple for his great tackles and being as fearless as ever
Dick of the day was Oli Bill Taylor
See you all for the next game vs Linwood rfc away on July 6th.

Great hit out today vs a very good Ashley/HSOB side. Weather was perfect as was all the skills on show. Annual fixture in the pipeline.
Game was played in great spirits with loads of big tackles and great tries.
Fun had by all
Kavaliers dick of the day was Trevor’Jaws’ Smith for cooking his plate for the after match in the club kitchen before hand and leaving the gas on.
Player of the day was the young looking still got good feet ‘new guy’ Joe Baker

Next game is June 15th vs Hororata Black Diamonds away. We will have a bus. Timings to follow

Great first hit out for 2025 vs Lincoln RFC @ home yesterday. Numbers were good and was good to see a few new faces out in Kavaliers colours.
Rugby was the winner as always
Dick of the day was Prada
Player of the day was Fish
Next game is Sunday 11th may vs Oxford at Oxford. We have a bus booked

A great day had by all Mt Somers Golden Oldies - Tussock Crawlers on Sunday
After our bus broke down which delayed our arrival until nearly full time a hearty team of 8 who travelled separately from the bus took the field with some opposition team members helping us out.
Great fun was had by all including the spectators who mostly had not stopped celebrating from winning the final the day before.
Game played in great spirits and an enjoyable bus trip was had by those who braved the journey
Hopefully it’s the start of another long relationship and see you all again next year
