Yes, please do! Something is always better than nothing and highly recommended.

If you’re having your main meal after our session and want a light snack that won’t sit heavy - especially if you feel it during our impact work - try something simple like:

Greek yoghurt + berries + drizzle of honey
Banana + small handful of nuts
Rice cake + peanut butter + sliced fruit
Boiled egg + piece of fruit
Small wrap with meat/meat alternative + greens
A small protein shake

As our hormones shift, our muscles, bones, and energy levels shift too. Lifting weights isn’t about pushing harder - it’s about giving our bodies the strength and stability they need to keep us feeling capable and confident.

Here’s what strength training can support:

• Maintaining muscle strength as our natural levels decline

All classes are 45 minutes long and both venues are on The Parade in Island Bay. All blocks work out to $15 per class.

In class, we don’t just “smash it” and hope for the best.

We train smart, with progressive overload, recovery and mobility built in. Every movement supports your nervous system, your joints, and your real-life strength.

This class isn’t about pushing through exhaustion it’s about building a body that gives back and there are amazing strength results each term!

It is challenging in parts but you’re always in charge. You choose your output level, based on your energy, your mood, and what you need that day.

Your glutes aren’t just for looks - they’re your engine room.

They power your walk, your lift, your climb, your carry. But when they’re underactive? That’s when the niggles creep in - sore knees, cranky hips, tight lower back.

We train glutes to activate, stabilise, and support everyday movement.

Getting them to show up, take on some more of the mahi and share the load is all included in my programming. Strong glutes don’t just make the workouts better - they make life better.

Training shouldn't be a punishment. We aren't chasing perfection. We're chasing that body being strong, mobile and fit enough to keep up!

Looking good is a bonus but feeling good is the main goal. And I can guarantee you’ll leave every session better than when you came in.

Better sleep. Fewer aches. More energy.

Strong enough for the groceries up all those Wellington steps. Strong enough to keep up with the kids or grandkids, power through a full day on your feet, and handle whatever life throws your way - wind, hills, and all.

You don’t need experience. You just need a safe space to start. No judgment, no ego, no need to be fit before you start....

No judgment, no ego, no need to be fit before you start. Just real people, real strength, and real support.

There is absolutely no pressure to “know what you’re doing” when you first start a class or even well into our journey. I'm always here for questions and if I see you doing a movement that might not feel good the next day, I will give you a few small prompts or alternatives if it isn't working for you that day.

We’ll keep refining your form and layering in new movements -months and years down the track. That’s the beauty of strength training and it’s exactly why I love teaching.

“I just want to tone up” - So many clients write this on their client form before starting PT or a group class.

Here’s the truth: toning = building lean muscle + reducing body fat. And the best way to do that? In order. Improving your nutrition and strength training.

Muscle gives you shape and definition and burns calories after even while you sleep.

You don’t need to lift like a bodybuilder BUT you do need to lift smart and heavy enough to challenge your body and spark change.

Strong is the new "toned". And it looks and feels incredible!
