Baillie & Lewis Invercargill Championship Pairs were played today. 1st Brian Hotton (25th title) & Suzanne Mackie 2nd Grant Fortune & Brian Turner, 3rd equal Rebecca & Boyd Manson and Matthew Tosh & Shawn Perry. Congratulations everyone and thank you to our sponsor.

North Invercargill Bowls Club celebrated a strong win in their latest bowls match! Well done Team!

Today the Invercargill Sub Centre Championship Fours were played. With six entries a round robin was played. The winners Suzanne Mackie, Brian Hotton, Alison and Lindsay Rowley from North Invercargill Club were unbeaten with 10 points. Runner up on 6 points, and a count back of ends was Mathew Tosh, Shawn Perry, Warwick Gray and Jak Perry. A great day of bowls and all six teams received a prize. Congratulations everyone.

Couldn’t have said it better!

Bowls: relaxing, they said… great for your mental health they said, well it’s causing me mental health I said 🤪😅

Fast forward to me missing a draw by inches 🤏
Having a full conversation with myself, side-eyeing the green, and wondering why I do this every weekend, muttering stupid game, bloody bowls🤣

But that’s bowls, hey… it’s not just skill, it’s what’s going on in your head too. And sometimes life off the green tags along for the ride.

So if someone’s a bit off, give them a break, you never know what they’re carrying.

Reset. Breathe. Roll the next one, be their best supporter 👍

Because no matter what… we keep coming back. Love it too much not to 🤣

Congratulations!

NZ Mixed Pairs were played today with 16 entries. We had 7 quailfiers. Semi final Boyd Manson and Emma Bell defeated Graham & Jan Low 11 to 7. The other semi saw Suzanne Mackie & Brian Hotton beat Matthew & Ngaire Tosh 7 to 4. Suzanne & Brian won the finsl over Boyd & Emma 11 to 3. This was back to back wins for Suzanne & Brian. Congratulations to everyone. Tomorrow is the Mixed Fours, 1pm. Thank you to our sponsor for the weekend Bupa.
