After a busy night against Northland, Denzel Samoa has been voted the Stags’ Man of the Match.

Denzel was a constant threat with ball in hand, repeatedly breaking the advantage line and putting the Northland defence under pressure. He was just as committed without the ball, making some crucial defensive plays and showing plenty of heart throughout the night.

After missing the first eight games of the season through injury, Denzel has certainly made an impact with the opportunities he’s had on the field, and he's quickly become a fan favourite.

đź‘Ź Congratulations, Denzel!

And a huge thank you to our Stags fans for voting, supporting and getting behind the team all season. Through every result, your passion for the Stags has always been there.

Maroon and gold proud.

Meet Breacan, our Alliance Group Ball Runner for the SBS Bank Southland Stags’ Hilux NPC Game against Northland.

Breacan was proudly selected for this opportunity by our charity partner Inclusive Activity Murihiku

Breacan was an absolute legend, running the ball onto the field for kickoff with Steve-O the Stag, and getting alongside some of the Stags.

A big thank you to Alliance Group — proud to be making lifetime memories as the official partner of our Ball Runners. Thanks to their support, every Ball Runner receives their very own Alliance Group x Stags merchandise package.

Thank you for being part of game day, Breacan.

A special halftime at our last game of the season, as we acknowledged our charity partners Inclusive Activity Murihiku and Loss and Grief Centre. Thanks to the support of our Stags community we were able to present a $12,000 donation to each charity.

And congratulations to Greg, who showed off his Southland rugby knowledge, and took home some great prizes thanks to Spark, in the Spark 50 Year Quiz. Good stuff Greg!

It’s been a great first year partnering with Inclusive Activity Murihiku

We’re proud to support an organisation doing such important work in our community, and it’s been awesome to learn more about the people and mahi behind the cause.

A huge thank you to our Stags community for getting behind our charity partnerships and helping make this support possible.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with Inclusive Activity Murihiku and supporting their work again next year.
