A few boys are away, giving a great opportunity to test the squad depth. Blair McKenzie takes the VC reigns and will look to provide sage advice to the skipper when called upon.

Total Life Invercargill Old Boys are back on the main ground this week, taking on Appleby in a 50 over fixture. This marks the penultimate match for the regular season, with a bye scheduled next week.

This week promises to be a good one. It's the club's Sponsors Day, and a chance to celebrate those who have kindly supported the club this season. Should be a great atmosphere!

Southland has wrapped up their Hawke Cup campaign, meaning the squad is close to full strength.

Total Life Invercargill Old Boys square up against the students this weekend, back into 50 Over red ball cricket. Keeping up with the ball colours? Neither am I...

Saturday's lineup features some familiar faces. Veteran Richie Abbott dons the colours after an SOS phonecall Thursday night. Great to have him back with the club for a match. It's also a welcome return to senior campaigners Blake Tempero and Jordan Tooby, who have been out of cricket this season due to lengthy injury layoffs. Will be great to have Tempero's guile and Tooby's direction to lead the boys around in the field.
