Sir Tim I will miss you my freind.
First condolences to the family and those closest to Tim.
A man i have always had the upmost respect for.
I feel very lucky to have spent many hours getting to know Tim over a decade threw my personal training.
A man who always supported me in any venture I set off to try. Every walk I was apart of to raise funds for mental health Tim was there, Beach clean ups Tim was there getting stuck in. But that was Tim happy to be involved in anything positive any where any time.
Ill never forget the day they joined Tim's head to my naked body shaking my hips to im to sexy for this shirt to try help gain momentum for the blair vining petition. One of the funniest afternoons ever but what you mite not have noticed was at the time there where c***s trying to take the jobs away from people with disabilities at the refuge station and Tim seen a great opportunity and was never afraid to rufflle a few feathers putting the southland disabilitie enterprises building in the back ground in show of support. Oh the powers that bee had a good old cry over that one and Tim got his hand smacked once again.
On a personal level Tim helped me immensely learning how to cope with life in the public eye. There was a period of mums illness that I didn't cope with so well and I coped a little flack for it in the background. I remember talking to Tim about it on different occasions. Tim was use to this sort of thing having to deal with some back stabbing c***s on the council over the years and particularly in the later years which we havnt forgot about who those c***s were.
Tim said to me Daniel you can do a thousand good things and no one will even blink a eye but you make one mistake and there will always be people that have been sitting there waiting watching for a opportunity to talk bad about you and try define you by one mistake that's part of being someone in the public eye. Your the man in the arena let the people watching talk in time it won't even mater.
Id also like to show another side of Tim and mention all the times Tim poped in to say hi to mum when she was unwell and the birthday phone calls. Tim would call to wish mum a happy birthday get off the phone saying omg Sir Tim just wished me a happy birthday how did he no and id be like f**k off mum that wasn't Tim and mum would be buzzing saying it was it was . I never told mum.id set it up. Then to turn up at mums funeral and give a speech would have absolutely made mums day .
Theres so much more I could mention but ill leave it here.
I will miss you Tim
Your freind Daniel
