Had the last meeting of the season on Saturday at Moore Park for the Ronnie Moore Memorial.

It was a great day of racing with some tough battles against George Congreve. I ended up 2 points off 1st after blowing an engine in one of the heat races, which was a real gut punch, but that’s racing.

Glad to have this season done and dusted after missing a fair few meetings due to the weather. Really looking forward to what next season brings — hopefully better weather for a start 🤞 and some good hard racing. With a few juniors moving up into the solos, it’s shaping up to be a strong field of riders.

New Zealand Champs done and dusted.

Not the result I was chasing on Saturday, but I’m proud to say I’ve claimed the 3NZ back.

Had an absolute battle in the final with George Congreve Racing — he led early, I made the pass, then he got me back going into lap three. Proper hard racing.

Unfortunately I made a silly mistake heading into the last corner and ended up on the ground. Gutted is an understatement. I was devastated.

But I picked myself up and rolled the bike across the finish line.

Not the happiest with how the day unfolded, but that’s racing. Days like this build you. I’ll take the lessons, put in the work, and chase it even harder next year.

We go again 💪

What a weekend at the Burt Munro Speedway Spectacular! Managed to clean sweep the day — winning all my heats and topping it off with the final 🏁💪

The weather played its part for most of the meeting before turning a bit wet at the end… but hey, that’s Invercargill for you 😂

Massive shoutout to Southern Bolts & Fasteners Oreti Park Speedway putting on an unreal meeting — 70 races run on the day and an awesome atmosphere from start to finish!

Had the South Island Title at Moore Park Speedway on Saturday 🤘
Awesome day of racing with tough competition and stoked to bring back the gold-ware 🥇

Minimal bike changes, one small issue in the first heat, but super happy with how both me and the bike performed—especially after not riding for nearly 2 months. Gave me a big confidence boost heading into the NZ Title on Feb 21 back at my home track 💪

We’re back at it again this Saturday for the Burt Munro Challenge, celebrating the 20th running of this epic event. Old boy’s lining up for the beach race on Friday 🤞 hopefully he doesn’t break himself too much—he’s a pretty handy asset in the pits 😂

Also wishing Ben Whalley Racing all the best before he heads off to the UK. Go show them how the Kiwis do it, mate 💪🇳🇿

Absolutely gutted the New Zealand Solo Champs at Southern Bolts & Fasteners Oreti Park Speedway has been rained off today. We were ready to roll and itching to get out there. Mother Nature had other plans unfortunately. Fingers crossed for a new date and better weather soon 🙏🌧️

After a lot of deliberation, we’ve had to make the very hard call to cancel today’s meeting.
We are absolutely guttered to be writing this.

We apologise to everyone who has travelled. We took a chance that the weather would come right — sadly, it didn’t.
Even with us having a scheduled rain out tomorrow this will also not go ahead.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

On Saturday we had the Mainland Champs, proudly sponsored by my workplace Mainland Mechanical Ltd. I didn’t have the best day with a couple of offs in two of my heats, and with the results decided on overall points I ended up third overall.

I jumped on the spare bike—which I hadn’t ridden since last season—and was stoked with how it went. It felt super comfortable straight away and I had good pace going, which was a big positive to take from the day.

I’ve got a few things to recap and tidy up before the next meet on 10 January at Oreti.
