Huge congratulations Conor Toomey on his selection for the 2026 NZ Junior Team -Tour De L’abitibi, Canada. A thoroughly deserved selection and one of the nicest junior riders around. Special note to Cycling Road Track & Cyclocross New Zealand for ensuring that our junior road riders have a pathway provided for international racing.🇨🇦

We can’t wait to follow the tour Conor 🤴

Reminder 🚨 Ollie & Lily Keast’s Junior Track Worlds Fundraiser

Next Wednesday -3rd June… we’re bringing the tunes (and questionable singing ability) to Musical Jingo at the Waikiwi Tavern 🎶

No talent required… just the ability to recognise a song before your mate does 🍻

Grab your crew, claim your table, and come along for a night of music, laughs, and a bit of competitive spirit — all for a great cause 🙌

Massive thanks to our legends backing the prize pool, including:Open Country Dairy, The Grocer, UDC Finance, Highlands Motorsport Park – Damon Leitch, Marnco, TWL, Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa

Some seriously good prizes up for grabs… so even if your singing is average, your chances of winning aren’t 😏

🇯🇵 Final day for all today…Lucas and Magnus on track this pm.

The highs and lows of life in sport have been on full display over the past fortnight. There’s always time for reflection — because just like life, growth comes from both the wins and the setbacks. Broken bodies, broken bikes… some goals firmly ticked off, others added to the “to do” list.

Resilience isn’t something you’re given — it’s learned by leaning into change, embracing challenges, and being willing to reflect on both the highs and the lows. That’s where the real growth happens.

Omnium for Lucas after qualifying strongly yesterday, with Magnus also riding a great qualifier. Amelia wrapped up a solid Omnium yesterday — plenty to build on.

Ride safe lads and enjoy results will be incoming.

Thank you Japan, we will be back.
ありがとうございます (Arigatō gozaimasu) to the organisers and volunteers for your incredible support 🇯🇵

Wonderful result from Mado - Silver for Lucas and Magnus we are so proud lads 🇯🇵

Day 1 of 2 – JICF International Track Cup 🇯🇵

Lucas lines up in the Madison with Magnus before backing up later in the day for Omnium qualifying — with Magnus alongside him again. Amelia also heads out on track today for her Omnium campaign.

No racing for Hamish today, with the borrowed bike setup not quite coming together — a tough one to swallow. Instead, he’s been reluctantly reassigned to media duties… not quite the role he packed for, but knowing Hamish, he’ll still find a way to make an impact off the track.

Race well, stay safe Kiwi’s

After a couple of days’ recovery from last week’s hectic Japan Cup racing, Lucas, Hamish and their fellow Kiwi riders Magnus and Amelia now turn their focus to this weekend’s JCIF International Cup in Chiba City, Japan 🇯🇵

Hamish rolls in on a borrowed bike — a huge thank you to the Japanese Track Team for stepping in and making sure he’s back on the boards. That’s what track cycling is all about… respect, support, and a shared love of racing.

New track, new challenges, same determination.
Racing starts Saturday morning ⏱️
at Chiba Velodrome.

🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵 Breaking News from Japan 😆😆😆
Four days in Izu, and it all came down to one last hit-out on the track.

Final day racing delivered more of the same — fast, furious, and unforgiving. The lads rolled back in ready for it, embracing the chaos that comes with international racing at this level.

Lucas put together a strong finish to his campaign — a solid ride through the Elimination, followed by Points Qualifying and the Points Race to close things out. Each race another layer added to the story — not just results, but experience, awareness, and growth against world-class competition.

Four days of intensity, learning to read races, adapting on the fly, and pushing through fatigue. The kind of racing that tests you, but also shapes you.

And for Keast — another track now marked with a bit of skin and blood… a change of scenery from the roads of Southland, but the same toughness and grit showing through.

Beyond the track — friendships strengthened, memories locked in, and plenty of stories that will be told (and probably retold) for years to come.

The post below ….When the international WiFi taps out and the “live updates” are running on vibes alone… thank goodness for AI stepping in like a last-minute domestique 😅

Because when the real photos are still somewhere over the Pacific, we just casually roll out an AI masterpiece and hope no one asks too many questions…

“Yeah nah, that’s exactly how it looked… conditions were… very cinematic.”

Racing legs = very real
Photo evidence = mildly fictional

But hey — if the story’s good enough, who’s checking 📸
