Ok guys been a couple of good days. Real quick wrap up
Paul has managed to take out the last two stages and moves into yellow by the slimiest of margins. Eion is proving to be a bad smell that just won’t go away and is certainly in the hunt heading into last week. Across the field the distance is tight. A couple of catch up stages may bring one or two back in the mix.
Ginge is looking good in green and is turning in some consistent performances and could well be hard to beat.
Be interesting to see who has a little zip left for the last 6 stages

Stage 7 and the peloton looked relaxed as it meandered across the French countryside. The spirits were high and the chat was top notch with many a world problem solved right there in the peloton.
Things soon got serious heading into the first Kom with Cam picking up 1st but almost immediately being stripped of his points for an earlier indiscretion that caught the eye of the race director. (Word on the street is drugs) this left Paul to pick up 3 from Ginge and then the birthday boy Tommo
The pace was high and a couple looked in danger as they hovered in and out of time cut territory. Jamie was the first to have a crack on the last climb but with minutes to go a fast moving 3 containing Paul, Ginge and Eion went for it right to the line with Ginge just managing to hold of the other two to take the win in what can only be described as a very aggressive finishing sprint

Eion remains in yellow holding onto the narrowest of margins as the rest of the peloton is really closing in

Stage 6 looked like a walk in the park but soon after heading out of neutral the pace went up on the first small climb, spitting a couple out the arse who may have had questionable weekends
The race then settled allowing the dropped riders to get back on. The nervous we’re high in the bunch as they had been out and looked at the course earlier and new there was a big up hill finish. Having been late to the party the part time farmer Jason was the first to go after the climb. Bad Al was quick to react and haul the old man in. Eion one of the more consistent riders saw the benifits of a new sponsored bike and was off, going on to be first across the line, followed by Larry and Ginge who also featured in the sprints along the way. Other sprint points were
Paul 3
Ginge 2
Thommo 1

Across line
Eion
Larry
Ginge

Riding into yellow was Eion with a couple of others within spitting distance
This week could see some movement with new handicaps being awarded

Been a good week here on the biggest show in town. there has been some incredible rides along with some pretty average ones.
The race saw the return to the peloton of the only guy to win a mtb race an an ebike and he didn’t disappoint. The peloton hadn’t left the neutral section before every rider had received some sort of verbal spray. Later that evening Bu****it Wilson went for the double, however this courageous effort seemed to come at a cost as he went missing for the last 2 stages of the week.
The last stage of the week saw a hilltop finish with Cam powering away for stage win and the max sprint points. Wayne not far behind with Eion picking up 3rd
Stage5
Cam 1st
Wayne Duffy 2nd
Eion 3rd

Sprint
Cam 3 points
Ginge 2 points
Paul 1 point

Duffy remains in yellow amid a cloud of controversy. The question on everyone’s lips is Has he been caught sand bagging the handicap stage??? Or is he just enlisted the help of Lances doctor.

Ginge holds on to the green jersey for the end of the week in what has been a tight battle with the other pretty boys that fancy themselves close to the line.
Let’s see what week 2 brings
