Due to low numbers we have made the sad decision to cancel badminton tonight. See you all next week at usual times.

Thurs 18 June - Kaimata - CANCELLED
Thurs 25 June - IHS
Thurs 2 July - Kaimata
For the weeks we are playing at Kaimata we would appreciate players let us know if they are going, we may have to cancel if we don't have enough to make it viable.
If you need/want transport to Kaimata please message and we will make arrangements, we don't want to miss anyone. 🙂
We apologize for the disruption but this is beyond our control.

Good news. We are able to hold our badminton sessions at IHS this week and next week (4th and 11th June). Looking forward to seeing you all 6:30pm juniors, 7:30pm others. 🏸🏸

Sorry for the late notice. We will be running badminton tomorrow (Thursday) at Kaimata Hall from 7pm. Meet outside 26 Cutfield Street, Inglewood by 6.50pm to arrange car pooling. Hope to see you all there. 🙂

Heads up. There will be no badminton in Inglewood this week (Thursday, 21st May) as we have been informed the gym will not be available for us. We are working on a solution to keep badminton active in Inglewood and will post further updates as they come to hand.

Congratulations to Denise. Many of you will know her through her many contributions to badminton. Denise supported Pam for many years asssessing juniors skills as they worked through the Incentive Award Scheme. Please share your memories on the original Taranaki Badminton post.

Committee members from Inglewood Club are Pam Frederickson (Chairperson), Melisa Bedford (Treasurer), and Hilary Frewin (Committee). Please feel free to speak to any of us if you have any concerns or suggestions you would like to take to the Association.

Taranaki Badminton Association held our AGM on Tuesday 28th May - thank you to those members who atttended. Special thanks to the dedicated members of our Association who have agreed to continue on or join the Association Committee. The Association is responsible for supporting and promoting badminton in Taranaki, they co-ordinate the venue(s) you play in, ensure coaching and support networks are available, plan and organise local events, organise individuals/teams representing Taranaki Badminton at regiional and national level, and many more behind the scenes operations.
We were proud to award life membership to Denise Alexander who has been involved in badminton as a player, coach, and committee member for over (not saying how much) 50 years. A well deserved award which warrants a separate post - coming soon.
