And just like that Reformer Works is 2 years old 🥹
A little history on how Reformer Works was born…I actually wanted to bring Reformer Pilates to a gym I used to own, as I’d just moved back from Sydney where Reformer Pilates was huge but wasn’t quite the case here yet in NZ so I was told no.
I bided my time until I could no longer hold off as I could see the Pilates curiosity rising in the area. I sold my share of the gym and went out on a limb to risk starting my own studio.
The biggest shock to everyone back then was that I’d chosen to do it in Pink!
2 years later it is now known as ‘the pink place’ and I couldn’t be happier or prouder of its journey so far 💗
Over the 2 years we’ve had the joy and privilege of introducing thousands of people to Pilates, majority of which had either never done Reformer Pilates before if not never exercised before.
We have helped raise funds for Pink Ribbon and Starship Foundation. A number of challenges such as Bingo, Winter Shred. Glow Up Challenge and the infamous plank challenge at the Xmas fair with the pink tree!
Upgrades have been made by adding a sauna, on demand sessions, and the addition of SCULPT classes. We held a Wellness Event, made it as a Finalist at the Exercise NZ Awards for Studio Facility of the Year and an Elf even snuck in!
BUT…most of all we’ve built a community 💗 Our clients are everything to us, they think they’re just coming to us for Pilates but really they’re our friends and our inspiration.
Thank you for trusting us and letting us make you shake uncontrollably, thank you for choosing us for your Pilates journey because you as our clients are our ‘WHY’, our reward is sharing the love of exercise and Pilates to help you live a happier, healthier, pain free life 💗
