Congratulations to our two new rowing captains for 2026-2027, Luanye Blignaut (4th year rower) and Rhys Henwood (2nd year coxswain)! 🥳🚣♂️ Such an amazing achievement for you both, and so well deserved. Being a captain is more than just a title; it’s about leadership, dedication, teamwork and setting a positive example for the rest of the team. We have no doubt that you’ll both lead with pride, represent our rowing team with confidence, and make 2026 to 2027 a memorable season.
Being chosen as captains shows the trust and belief that others have in you both, and we hope you take this opportunity to grow, challenge yourselves and bring the best out of everyone around you. We know that rowing takes a lot of hard work, commitment and sacrifice, and we look forward to seeing you lead the team through every early morning, tough training session and race day. May you both continue to motivate your teammates, build strong connections within the squad and create memories that you’ll look back on for years to come.
We wish you both nothing but success in your new roles and hope you make the most of this special opportunity. Here’s to an amazing 2026 - 2027 season filled with growth, achievements and plenty of wins! Congratulations again, captains! ❤️🏆
