Junior Division – Update & Apology

We would like to sincerely apologise for an error that occurred during prize giving in the Junior Division at the West Coast Kahawai Fishing Competition 2026

One fish that was announced on the night as a junior entry was later confirmed to be an adult entry. Unfortunately, this wasn’t identified before prize giving continued.

The correct Junior Division placings are:
🥇 Bryce Armstrong 1.58kg
🥈 Lucia Armstrong 1.46kg
🥉 Sadee McMaster 1.45kg

The junior winners will be contacted tomorrow to apologise, explain what happened, and arrange the correct prizes. We will also organise for Sadee to have her photo taken when she comes in to collect her prize.

Thank you for your understanding, we are working on a slightly different ticket system next year to ensure this doesnt happen 🎣

Another epic West Coast Kahawai Fishing Competition done and dusted — and what a day it was!

With a full 500 entrants and 98 fish weighed, the Coast well and truly turned it on. Even better, every ticket holder walked away with a spot prize — how good is that!
