Entries to the South Island Ultra Marathon opened yesterday.
Thanks for everyone that has entered to date, it's great seeing that entries to both the 100k and 54k are tracking evenly for entries.
The entries to the event will be limited to 400 participants across the 4 events.
And based on last nights entries, this number may be under threat, so we encourage you to enter early.
Saturday 8 May 2027.

Tomorrow it all starts for Saturday.
Race Pack Pick up at The Beachfront Hotel 10:00am to 3:00pm
100km and 54km compulsory Race Brief 4:00pm at the Regent Theatre Hokitika
The Race Briefing is compulsory for all 100km and 54km participants and highly recommended for those pacing the last 22km.
Compulsory gear check will be at Race Pack Pick up, make sure you have this with you.
Seem sealed jackets, do not front up with puffer jackets or light wind jackets that are not seem sealed.
There are no major sports brands with these jackets for sale in Hokitika, and we'd hate to tell you you can't start.
Weather forecast is for Saturday to be some rain early in the morning clearing around 10:00am with a strong breeze, making the temperature feel colder than it is.
There has been 54mm of rain today and similar forecast tomorrow.
Then 20mm early Saturday morning.
The trail is in great condition as there's be no rain for the last few weeks.
