No rugby last week meant we decided to change things up. Yoga on Thursday night (massive thanks to Katie from Exhale Yoga lots of fun and a good stretch out for some sore bodies!)
Then on Friday a trip up to the Crusaders game. Dress up theme was dress as someone from our team. The girls got creative and had lots of fun! Now onto the last round of the combined comp 💪🏼

To the girls who stand beside us every week — thank you for being so much more than just teammates.

Over the months and years, this team has become a second family. We’ve spent countless nights together at trainings, weekends on the field, long road trips, post-game laughs, hard conversations and moments we’ll never forget. Seeing each other three or more days a week for months on end creates a bond that not many people truly understand.

Through every high and every low, we’ve always had each other. Through the tough losses and the big wins, through injuries, hospital visits, weddings, tears, stress, celebrations and everything life throws at us — this group continues to show up for one another without hesitation. No matter what is happening off the field, there is always someone in this team ready to check in, lift each other up, have a laugh when it’s needed most, or stand beside one another through the hard times.

What we have is bigger than rugby. Rugby brought us together, but the friendships, loyalty and support are what keep us here. This team is built on trust, resilience, chaos, laughter, honesty and love. We push each other to be better, celebrate each other’s successes and carry each other through the difficult moments.

Not everyone gets to experience being part of something like this, and that’s what makes this group so special. Through thick and thin, no matter how hard things get, we continue to back each other every single time.

So here’s to the girls who train together, fight together, laugh together and stand together. The girls who became sisters, best friends and family.

No matter where rugby takes us, the memories, friendships and bond we’ve built together will always mean more than the game itself

A few words will never truly cover how grateful we are for the people behind our club, but this is a small way to show our appreciation.

From the players and coaches, to the supporters, committee, kitchen crew, bar staff, senior teams and our next generation coming through — thank you for the time, encouragement, knowledge and care you pour into this team every single week.

It’s more than rugby. It’s community, family and people always willing to show up for each other. We’re lucky to be surrounded by such incredible humans who continue to back the girls and help this club grow stronger every season.

Southern is special because of all of you.
