To all our Orowhana Dragons supporters, whΔnau, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who stood behind us this season β THANK YOU! π
Weβre sorry for the way our season came to an end, especially coming into the Semi-Finals. We know there were plenty of people who were looking forward to seeing our boys take the field and continue the fight.
But at the end of the day, player safety comes first. We had to put our tΔne first, make sure our boys were looked after and make the decision that was best for our players and their wellbeing.
Football is important, but our people are more important. β€οΈ
We are incredibly proud of what our boys have achieved this season. Through the wins, the losses, the tough games, the laughs, the challenges and everything in between β they continued to represent the Orowhana Dragons with pride.
To everyone who travelled, cheered, donated, sponsored, cooked, helped on game day, shared our posts, bought our merch and backed us from the sidelines β you are a massive part of this club.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us and standing with our boys. π
This season may not have finished the way we wanted, but the Dragons are far from finished.
Weβll regroup, weβll learn, weβll come back stronger β and weβll keep building something our whΔnau and community can be proud of.
