Based in Hawera, we are the biggest cricket club remaining in the town and sport Premier, Senior and lower grade teams. Don't hesitate to contact us if you or your kids want to get involved in some way, shape or form. Here you will find information regarding games, results, practices and players through out the year.

Our 41st AGM is 7pm at the Club rooms.

As we look ahead to another season, we’re looking for new people to get involved and help shape the future of Hāwera cricket.

We have some committee members stepping down after giving their time and energy to the club, and we’d like to thank them for their contribution. We’re now looking for some new faces — particularly people who are prepared to get involved, roll up their sleeves and help make things happen.

Nominations are invited for:

• Chairperson
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Club Captain

You don't need to have been involved with the club before, and you don't need to know everything about cricket. If you care about our club, our players and the future of cricket in Hāwera, we'd love to hear from you.

There are plenty of ways to contribute, whether that's taking on a committee role or simply becoming more involved behind the scenes.

Metcalfe Real Estate Hawera United Cricket Club congratulate all of our prize winners for the 2025-26 season. We thank our sponsors for their ongoing support and to all of our club members we wish you all the best for the off season and hope to see you all back again next season

Our Metcalfe Real Estate premiers put in a fighting performance to finish their season today. NPOB declared at 309 for 7 with Hawera facing a deficit of 187 runs. Hawera fought to the last hour before being dismissed for 204 with Cody McGrath 55, Trent McGrath 51 not out, Shaun Fowler 33 & Liam Fowler 27 the top scorers. NPOB went on to win the match outright. That brings our 2025-26 season to a conclusion with the club celebrating 40 years of amalgamation this evening and a spirited old timers match earlier this afternoon.

After a delayed start our Metcalfe Real Estate premiers struggled to get going against a stacked NPOB side. Hawera were dismissed for just 122 with Trent McGrath scoring 51 not out & Jack Wasley 23
Hawera scrapped hard in the field but at the close of play Old Boys had taken the honors finishing 216 for 5 with Shay Smith taking 3 wickets and Aruna Nanayakkara 2.
