This page has not been updated since Covid hit us. But as it seems like there are no MX riders at HNHS anymore it does not really make a difference.

The Bush Riders School XC on Friday 3'rd September at Taikorea near Foxton, Manawatu has been cancelled as result of Covid-19. If you have entered and paid the entry fee, please email [email protected] with your reference number, name and your bank account number. Your refund may take a few days to process.

The Secondary Schools XC to be held by Gore & Districts MCC on Friday 3 September has been postponed as result of Covid-19.

New date is 10 October!

NZ & NI Secondary School MX Championships. Taupo MCC, Taupo.
9 July 2021.

Havelock Nth HS only had one rider representing the school: Marcus Hildesheim who raced in the 15 - 19yo Competitive 125cc class. After racing to a 4'th, a 3'rd and a 3'rd in a field of 26 riders Marcus placed 3'rd overall.

Race 1: Marcus was in 4'th from start to finish.
Race 2: This was tougher for Marcus as he came out in 7'th. He then fought hard to climb up to 3'rd where he finished.
Race 3; Here Marcus came out in 3'rd, but took over 2'nd spot on Lap 2, only to drop back to 3'rd in the 2'nd to last lap.

Yamaha Motorcycles Whangarei Northland Schools MX Challenge was the final of the 4 round MAKZ GEAR King of Schools Secondary Schools series.
Hauraki Plains College won the series (1567 points) with St Johns Hamilton 2'nd (1440 points) and Tauranga Boys College in 3'rd (1362 points).
With only one rider in 2021 Havelock Nth HS placed 33'rd from 66 schools (229 points) as Marcus Hildesheim only raced in two of the series 4 events.
Well done Marcus! Here is hoping that HNHS has a full team of MX riders in 2022.

A HUGE congratulation goes to Amanda J Fitzpatrick and the Hauraki Plains College for the overall win! This has been building ever since the Secondary School MX started in NZ and I can not think of a school more deserving! Thank You Amanda for all the hard work and long hours you have put in to making it a possibility for MX riders to also have an opportunity to show their skills in the school environment!
