Cyclocross Hawke's Bay - CXHB An annual cyclocross series based the Hawkes Bay. http://www.cyclocrosshawkesbay.com/

CXHB ran its first series of six races, including the Cyclocross NZ National Championships, in the winter of 2012. A hard-core band of Cyclocross enthusiasts set up the races, rode in the races, did the race results and then packed away the course - Andrew Barlow, Dan Warren, Ken MacKenzie, Carl Paton, Ivar Hopman, Gemma Newland and Helen MacKenzie held events for all-comers from balance bikes and kiddy-bike-trailers to hard-core enthusiasts at Chesterhope Bridge, HB Showgrounds, Black Barn Vineyards and Roys Hill Reserve. Every year since then, CXHB has created interesting courses in a range of venues. You can expect to encounter grass, dirt, mud, pavement, road and gravel. Mostly you will ride your bike … but sometimes you will push, pull or carry it. Regardless of weather, Cyclocrossers of all ages and experience come and play on the grass and in the mud from 10am on Sunday mornings. We love to have visitors, so come along and and join our Cyclocross family!

Some of our CXers are racing, and it would be great if a few locals are there to cheer them on.
First race at 11am - so plenty of time still to pack a lunch, and a bike - there are on-the-day entries for CrossFest this afternoon (after CX Nationals) - hope to see you there!

We will be hosting the national championships as well as the fun, all comers Cross Fest races.

What a fabulous last race in out Bay Ford Hastings CX 2026 Series. Race 6 results are linked below... there were 94 riders today at our venue sponsor, Black Barn Vineyards. This includes 3 enthusiastic future stars on their balance bikes.

Thankyou to all 152 CXers who participated this Winter (this number doesn't include our Balance Bikers). You, and your fabulous supporters and biggest fans, made this series something to remember.
