🚧 Irrigation Works Update 🚧

We would like to provide members and Green fee players with an update on the irrigation project currently underway on the course.

This week, the team has made excellent progress, working from the 14th tees through the 12th Fairway and up to the 12th tees. We are pleased to advise that all irrigation works on the 12th hole have now been completed, and the hole has been reopened after being temporarily closed on Monday.

The team continues to work extremely well, with a strong focus on minimising disruption to golfers while maintaining safety and ensuring the project stays on schedule.

Looking ahead to next week, works will start on the 16th Fairway, with installation of the new irrigation system through that area. The team will also begin work from the start of the 6th Fairway, progressing through the 6th tees and connecting into the junction located on the 12th Fairway.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as these important upgrades continue. The project is progressing well, and we look forward to delivering a significantly improved irrigation system for the benefit of the course and all players.

🚜💧 Irrigation Upgrade Underway at Hawke’s Bay Golf Club 💧🚜

Over the past week our team has been hard at work progressing a major irrigation improvement project on the course.

This work involves installing new irrigation infrastructure along the fairway, including upgraded control systems and pipework that will provide greater reliability, efficiency, and water distribution across key playing surfaces. The project has required extensive trenching and careful turf removal, with all affected areas to be reinstated once installation is complete.

These improvements are an important investment in the long-term health and presentation of the course, helping us maintain high-quality playing conditions while making the best use of our water resources.

A huge thank you to the greens staff and contractors involved for their efforts, often working long hours to keep the project moving while minimising disruption to golfers.

We appreciate members’ patience while these works are completed and look forward to delivering the benefits of a modernised irrigation system for years to come.
