Hi team, No Friday class tonight with Alex, but on tomorrow morning from 10 am-12 then off to 🌼 blossom 🌸 parade. Please meet up at back of library in our usual place 👒 uniforms, hats and shoes n socks !!parents and family welcome to join us. Also a reminder no parking in CBD so roads will be closing off early. Dojang will be open for club members to come and chill out. Also after parade cheap lunch available at uk -11 cafe & curry hastings our sponsor see you all there !! Pray for rain to go away please. 🙏

Last but not least Lennix your endless energy is put to good use in this sport all the training (by yourself) and hard work you do paid off this weekend even though you only had 1 fight you took your time to read your opponent and then bang ‼️ got him TKO with your back kick!🤩 points didnt read from electronics but they didnt need too… well done mate, proud nan 🤗

Jahkhan entering head shots for the first time against an older more experienced fighter, but you took it on, attacked all the away and missing out on 2 head shot points due to electronic scoring a great fight and back to practice this wee ready for next one. Overall couldn’t ask for more as a coach…A silver medal 🥈 for you 🤩

Next up is Movi Laksh*tha Prasad Wijekoon 2 Golds!! 🥇 from 2 events individual Poomsae and Pairs Poomsae a great result and not easily won either. Getting over your nerves was the first challenge and you got that as well 🤩

Another day at the office! Thanks to my amazing little team of 4 bringing home 7 medals from Taraunga, TeamKO open on Saturday 12/09/26 Big thanks to the support of Hawaiiki, Mark and Lakshi, and of course all who made the tournament run smoothly. Next i will post up each one’s success… stay tuned

Mark these dates team…

I Love TKD and Taekwondo New Zealand are starting 2027 with a video conference series (Zoom sessions).
The series will run from the 2nd to th 4th of February and it will cover the "Rules and Interpretations" for Kyorugi, Poomsae and running a tournament.
