THE VET SERVICES EQUINE EAST COAST CHALLENGE IS ON!

The Vet Services Equine East Coast Challenge 1400m Special Conditions Maiden Series kicks off this weekend, with the first of 12 qualifying races taking place around the country!

The mission? 16 qualifiers. One inaugural $100,000 final. 🏆

The winner of each qualifier will secure their place in the final. With the runner up also being eligible for the final, to be run on Livamol Classic Raceday – Saturday 10 October 2026, as part of the Colliers Hawke’s Bay Spring Racing Carnival.

It’s set to be an exciting new addition to the New Zealand racing calendar, with the country’s rising stars chasing their chance to compete for a $100,000 stake on one of Hawke’s Bay’s biggest racedays of the year.

Happy Daffodil Day!

Today, we stand with the Cancer Society and the people and whānau across New Zealand affected by cancer.

That support continues at TIMBERSPAN Sir Colin Meads Trophy Daffodil Raceday, where you can experience the horses, jockeys and racing action up close. Feel the crowd lift as the field charges down the track, with food and entertainment happening around the racecourse throughout the day.
