Kia Toa Bowling Club

The H.O.T. green is down, it was completed on Friday 7 June.

We have been patient, waiting for it to be completed, and now we need to get rink numbers, markers and score boards in place to enable the green to be used. We will be attending to this using our own club members.

Friday saw 4 club members with Tiger Turf staff have a roll up of 4 ends and express satisfaction with the quality and speed of the green at this early stage. We are all looking forward to being able to play on a quality green of our own.... it certainly enhances the facilities we have at Kia Toa.

Tiger Turf has advised us to avoid playing on the green for several days allowing the green to settle. Obviously until we get the markers, etc. in place we will not be able to use the green for rollups or tournaments.

Our thanks go to the teams from Tiger Turf who have worked so efficiently to get the green down. They certainly were a pleasure to have on site.

We are organising a day to open the new green with our sponsors, House of Travel in attendance.

Be patient a little longer and then we will all be enjoying our new H.O.T. green

I have had a couple of requests from Kia Toa people about Havelock North's Kings Birthday 2x4x2 this Monday (see attached).
Its just a "home" event but we know you're one green down at the moment and if you have some members keen to join us then that would be great. The field is filling up but when I last looked there were abour five places available.

A farewell to Vicki and Steve Hannay who are moving to Matamata.

We shall miss them in many ways as their personal contribution was huge; from feeding the masses at the club socials to designing artwork that made Kia Toa posters unique.

We hope to meet them on the bowling green at Matamata.
