All three teams showed great determination, teamwork and improvement throughout the season! Great work lads!!Thank you to all of our coaches and managers for giving up your time, energy and weekends to support these teams throughout the season. *** Members Notice - Temporary Facility Closure ***

Canoe Polo Hawkes Bay considers the health and safety of our members and visitors our highest priority. We believe it is our responsibility to ensure that our facility provides a safe and healthy environment, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

Following recent water quality testing, some results have come back outside acceptable standards. As a precaution, and while we seek further guidance on retesting and undertake necessary cleaning processes, the facility will be closed until further notice.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, particularly for those who had bookings scheduled. We are reaching out directly to affected users and appreciate your understanding as we take these steps to protect your wellbeing.

We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available and the facility is safe to reopen.

This year we have decided to add new awards to our 2026 Prize Giving!
Below are the award categories and what they recognise. Nominate someone you believe deserves to be recognised!!

Referee of the Year Award - This award recognises a referee who demonstrates fairness, consistency, and respect across all grades of canoe polo. They show confidence under pressure, communicate clearly, and help create a positive and enjoyable environment for players, coaches, and supporters alike. Their dedication and commitment to the game ensure matches are played with integrity, sportsmanship, and fairness for everyone involved.

Heart of the Club Award - This award recognises a person who goes above and beyond to support the club and those around them. Whether helping with gear, setting up, packing down, or supporting teammates behind the scenes, they are always willing to lend a hand. Their commitment, reliability, and selfless contribution help strengthen the club and create a positive team environment.

Coach of the Year Award - This award recognises a coach who has shown outstanding commitment, leadership, and passion throughout the season. This coach supports and inspires their players, helps build confidence and skills, and creates a positive team environment where everyone can grow and succeed. Their dedication, encouragement, and love for the sport have made a lasting impact on their team and the wider club.

The Mana Award - The Mana Award recognises a player who consistently shows respect for referees, opponents, and teammates. This person plays with pride, upholds the values of the club, and demonstrates integrity both on and off the water. They lead through their actions, showing sportsmanship, humility, and mana in every aspect of the game.

We are running a fundraiser to support us on our way to the 2026 World Championships. This fundraiser is designed to connect our Canoe Polo community by sharing our knowledge and processes. We want to help develop the core skills and fundamentals of our up and coming players - whether you’re training in the off-season or preparing for Nationals and Oceania trials, this package is designed for all levels!

We have put together a practical training package based on the steps, skills, and drills we are currently using in our own preparation for the World Championships. It includes insights drawn from experience at the top level, including our Coach and current World Champions. The package includes:

Final National League Round-Up
Awesome season from all of our A Grade teams across the three rounds. Lots of great moments, good energy, and plenty of progress from everyone involved.

A Grade Round 3 the final round in Auckland was cut short due to a cyclone, but it was still a good weekend. Lots of great games played!!
