Brothers..... Literally, we have 2 sets of brothers 🤣 & the rest are cousins.

Stellar finish from our bottom aged rugby ballers who entertained onlookers the entire tournament ⛹️. The Whanau vibe reminded us there's alot more to sport than the winning & losing. And there's definately gotta be something special in those Bridge Pā/Tūrangi waters.

Kudos to BBHB for another well run tournament.

Ko te Whaea te takere o te waka!

Lilly graduated last Friday from her Master of Technological Futures. Her research began as Indigenising youth development: realising potential through crafted sport-based initiatives & transformed into Designing Belonging by thinking like a Whānau. Here she investigated the complex systems in youth sport that contribute to our rangatahi leaving the region for basketball.

She was awarded the 2024 Ako Graduand Award - after being the inaugural recipient of the same award in 2022. Her Masters research activity includes presenting at the 2022 International Indigenous Research Conference, 2023 MAI Conference and the inaugral 2023 academyEX symposium.

With a handful of publications in the wings, all we can say is - Karanga ki te ao e te tuahine 🌬

Last Friday, we gathered to commemorate one of our most cherished occasions of the year - graduation! A day dedicated to lauding the achievements of our graduates, in the company of their whānau and friends.

We witnessed the pride of our 100-strong community of changemakers and industry shakers, overcoming challenges and building remarkable connections. It's an honour to see them reaching this significant milestone and, especially, making headlines.
