The ski field is ideal for both beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders and the self cater, cosyday lodge, deck AND awesome on mountain accommodation, make it great mountain experience for y

our whole group. From the base area we have a tailor made groomed learners area to get you started, with a fixed grip learners tow and our instructors are on hand for group and private lessons. The Shirtfront rope tow accesses groomed intermediate and off piste runs and provides a great access point for the large Bordeaux Basin which in 2017 can be skied via traverse, hike and touring.

Unfortunately we have been washed out up the hill so the Club Champs and Chop Off have been postponed.

We are going to have to closed until we get some more snow, fingers crossed this might happen sometime soon.

Thanks to all who visited and also showed us support from afar, it has been a great season to-date.

Hopefully we can get things spinning again in September.

Minus 1; snowing, no wind. Forecast to continue snowing until later this morning.

10cm overnight, things are slowing starting to fill up again after the warm and wet weather over the last few days. We should be in for some fun times in the fresh snow today.

We will be assessing the Poma today once things clear up a little. We are hoping for some laps on this later this afternoon.

The road is open to all vehicles, 2WD’s please fit your chains at Branch Creek, 4WD’s from the old car park. Drive with care.

Reminder, we have the Club Champs and Chop Off on this Saturday, a day you won’t want to miss.

Snow play/sightseeing is only $30 per family. No Ski or Snowboard rental gear is held on the field; please see Ski Gear Direct in Hanmer Springs.

Closed Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th August.

We are going to close for the next couple of days to give our small team a much-deserved break.

What an amazing a season we have had so far, opening on the 8th of July and then constantly having tops up each week since then.

We are hoping this will continue for a few more weeks and are looking forward to the much-anticipated club champs and Chop Off this Saturday.

Open – Monday 24th

Minus 2; a moderate Southeast wind, forecast to turn Norwest later today.

Wow, what a surprise yesterday was; after the rain we got overnight, we had snow flurries throughout the day, and it actually got quite heavy around 5 pm, which set us up for some great night skiing.

So going to be a bit of a mixed bag today: some groomed, hard and fast in the exposed places and then some awesome wind-blown powder in others.

The wind will determine whether we can get the Poma spinning today. Please remember we have no issues starting it at 3 pm for some nice afternoon turns before dinner.

The road is open to all vehicles, 2WD’s please fit your chains at Branch Creek. 4WD’s at the old car park. Please take care.

Sorry team it is wet and windy currently. Fingers crossed this might turns to snow later on today.

Thanks to all who come and joined in the fun for the Bacardi Cup yesterday. The dress-ups were great and the racing was entertaining.

2 degrees; the moderate Northwest wind is keeping the wind chill low though, so wrap up warm. Forecast for a shower or two later this evening and maybe even some snow.

Going to be firm underfoot until the sun a work it’s magic, bringing on the spring corn. The wind will affect the running of the poma today. Fingers crossed we get a window to get this spinning.

The Bacardi Cup is on today. Our iconic novelty race (rules are defined just before start) and dress-ups are encouraged. Just not ones that get tangled in the tow... Always a lot of laughs.

The road is open to all vehicles, 2WD’s please carry your chains, you could need them for the trip down. Please take care.

Minus 2, looking like another bluebird day. A light breeze. Forecast for a bit of cloud to come in later this afternoon/evening.

Pack your sunscreen; you might need it while you do a spot of sunbathing waiting for things to release. Going to be hard and fast first thing and soften to some great spring skiing and riding across the mountain once our big yellow friend heats things up. Shirtfront and learners have been groomed.

The road is open to all vehicles, 2WD’s please fit your chains at the old car park. Please take care; there is still the odd muddy spot.

Don’t forget we have the Bacardi Cup tomorrow, so don’t forget your fancy dress if you’re looking at coming up.
