We are proud to be hosting a 'Candidates Night' leading up to the New Zealand 🇳🇿 General Election in November.
ALL seven local candidates for the Taranaki-King Country and Te Tai Hauauru seats are locked in 🔒, so this will be a rare chance to have them all in the same room!

The first 💙Blue and White Club🤍 draw for 2026 was last night - winners below - congratulations!
Our Blue and White Club is a long-standing welfare fund which has supported Waitete's injured players 🚑 since the early 1990s.
Thanks to our 100 ticket holders for supporting this great cause, and all the best for the future draws! 🏉

With footy 🏉 largely done and dusted for the year, our clubrooms are available for hire as a venue for your next function, family reunion, birthday, baby shower, Chrismas work-do and more! 👍

It’s win or go home for our Senior Men this Saturday as they head to Taupō for a massive semi-final showdown against Taupō Marist! 🔥

It is with a heavy heart 💙🤍💙 we share the passing of one of our great club men Baven Brown this morning 😞
We would like to invite our members to Waitete RFC from 12pm to 2pm this Thursday, when Baven will come to the club for one last time.
Baven is Waitete's most-capped player with 306 games, debuting in 1995 and playing right through to this year - 30+ years of service to Waitete.
Off the field, B has never been far from the action, whether as a coach, a sponsor or supporting from the sidelines - he will be sorely missed by us all and leaves a huge hole at our club 💙🤍💙
Baven is currently at his daughter's home at 31 George St in Te Kuiti for those wishing to pay their respects and spend time with him.
More details will be shared as they come to hand.

What a weekend for the blue and white! 💪

Our Senior Men travelled to Taumarunui and came away with a convincing 40–15 victory over the Eels. A massive performance from the boys as they continue to build momentum heading into the business end of the season. 👏

And what a performance from our U13s, with an outstanding 74–19 win over Taupō Sports Vikings!🔥 Congratulations to the team and coaches on the grand final win 🏆🥇

A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, managers, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors who continue to make weekends like these possible.

With a Top 4 spot up for grabs, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Every carry, every tackle, and every minute will count as the boys look to keep their playoff hopes alive.

A huge congratulations to three outstanding members of the Waitete whānau!

Last weekend we had the privilege of recognising some incredible milestones and commitment to our club.

🏉 Congratulations to Esekaia Daveta and Sam Wilson on receiving their Waitete blazers after proudly representing our club in 60+ senior games. Your dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the club are something to be proud of.

💙 A special congratulations also goes to Jayden Higgins on reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 games for Waitete. Representing your club 100 times is an outstanding achievement and a testament to your passion, resilience, and service to Waitete.

Thank you all for your commitment and for the example you set both on and off the field. We look forward to seeing many more games in the blue.

Our 💙Blue and White🤍 Club draws are fast-approaching - are you in?
Waitete's 💙Blue and White🤍 Club started in 1991 as a way of fundraising to support the medical care of our injured players 🚑
Every year, we put up 100 tickets at $100 a pop, which puts you in the draw to make some 💰💰 across five monthly draws.
The final draw in December puts up a major prize of $2000, so it's well worth the investment and you help us support our local players!
