Lakeview Golf Club was happy to host the Flouro Golf young people this past Monday 15 June. There were around 70 local school age “golfers” out on the course. This event is run by BOP Golf. It is a great event to introduce these young people to golf. For many of them it is the first time they have been on a course. And, as you can see they all represented well in their flouros!!

Predator Trapping.

A big shout out to our dedicated trap monitors Ann and Melton Hows and our relief monitors Danny and Helen Moloney when Ann and Melton are away!
Over the past year to May 2026 they have removed from our beautiful environment -
71 rats
24 mice
8 possums
3 rabbits
1 stoat
2 hedgehogs.
These numbers are significantly smaller than when we first started trapping. 😀
This means our native bird life can thrive. We are proud to be proactive kaitiaki of our course and contributing to the Predator Free 2050 goal.

We are just doing the finishing touches on the new green keepers shed.
Wow what a difference to our old "temporary"50 plus year old sheds!" Kelvin and Duncan are super excited and can't wait to "move in" Again a big thanks to Wide Span Sheds NZ for making the process so smooth and seamless!
