📣🚴‍♀️ Let's get behind one of our own! 🚴‍♀️📣

Our Swampfrog Old Girls family is incredibly proud of Talya Berry who, alongside Amara Jones, will take on the monumental challenge of cycling the length of New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff, starting on 1 November 2026.

They're riding to raise awareness and funds for I AM HOPE / Gumboot Friday, helping provide free mental health counselling and support for young New Zealanders.
This challenge will test them physically and mentally over thousands of kilometres, but it's for a cause close to their hearts, one that can make a real difference in a young person's life.

Yeow!!! What a finals weekend for our club!!

Featuring in 3 finals on Saturday at Waikato Hockey Association- those teams completed the season out in style! 3 wins from 3 finals!

First game was NorthCare Dental Centre Old Boys playing in Men's Division 2 final where they won 2-0.

Next went Hamilton Old Girls Development playing in Women's Division 1 final - they came out of the game with a 2-1 win.

Then to finish the day off, we had Harrisons Solar Old Boys play in the Premier Reserve final and won it 4-1.

Well done to the players, coaches, managers and supporters at these games!

We will see you at our club prize-giving in a few weeks! And keep an eye on when Waikato Hockey Association tells us when that prize-giving is and lets show up to that!

Congratulations to NorthCare Dental Centre Old Boys, Harrisons Solar Old Boys and Hamilton Old Girls Junior Development for all making finals this Saturday.

NorthCare Dental Old Boys make their return to the finals after being on a bit of hiatus having a good first round a horrible second round being up for relegation. They since then have been on a roll having not lost a game. They will face Varsity Reserve B in the Division 2 Final at 11:50am on Turf 2 @ GHC.

Hamilton Old Girls Junior Development make their first final after having a dominant run all season winning rounds 1 & 2 and securing a close shootout win last week against TA. They will face Hamilton Wanderers Hockey at 1:30pm on Turf 2 @ GHC.

Harrisons Solar Old Boys return to the finals yet again to face off against Hamilton Wanderers Hockey who took them down last year in a cruel shoot out loss. They play at 3:45pm on Turf 1 @ GHC.

Good luck teams go out play hard and bring home some silver ware!!!

Hey everyone now that the Waikato U16s and NHC teams have been named we can celebrate the success of our club at a national level. Congratulations to everyone who has been selected to represent the Waikato this year and good luck to our NHC & U16s who have their tournaments coming up!!
