Paddle Waikato is a mixed team of paddlers, varying in all fitness levels and ages. Paddle Waikato Dragon Boat Team is a mixed team of paddlers, varying in all fitness levels and ages. We train Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5.15 - 6.30pm) during the competitive (summer) season. During the cooler winter mo

nths (April - September) we train every Sunday morning 9.00 - 10.30am. Your first THREE sessions are FREE. Our paddlers are encouraged to compete at local regattas held throughout the year in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington to give all paddlers the experience needed to compete at a National and International level. We recommend paddlers wear quick drying (lycra) clothing, boat shoes, crocs, or similar, warm clothing to put on after a train and a drink bottle. Flick us a message and we will save a spot for you. Great second 500mtr race. Finals and 200mtr racing called off due to the condition. But great day dispite the trying conditions. Win for us = staying afloat, shaving close to three seconds off between our first and second 500mtr races.
But most of all... Being together, racing together, racing each race like it's a final and most important racing like we stole it!!
