It's been pretty quite on here of late and will be for a little while longer yet as just got my knee rebuilt today. Turns out that back in February during the 24hr Farmbike Enduro, I tore the meniscus root in my left knee. All patched up now and they also added an extra external ACL to try stabilise my knee a little better while in there.

During this forced break we are also rebuilding the VFR engine. It was well an truly overdue and with a couple of small mods, hoping we can come back with a little extra pace to push those front guys a little harder.

The goal from here is to try be fit for the Suzuki Series in December. Another little surprise also being worked through in the background so keep posted for that.

Meanwhile I'll just sit here and hurry up and wait.

Think found the cause of the VFR smoking like a 2 stroke at the last couple of meetings. I wonder how far I can bore it...

Didn't get to race Hampton Downs international circuit this year so just out here being a trackday warrior showing the modern bikes what 40year old machinery can do. Seemed like a better idea before fuel was over $3.50 a litre 😳

With Cliffhanger just around the corner I thought I'd put up this throwback to my attempt back in 2023 on the VFR. This was my first time there and couldn't make the Saturday test day so just threw it all down on the Sunday over the course of 5 runs. Managed to get down to a 2:17 up the 6km run.

Unfortunately can't make it again this year but maybe next.

Race 1 Part 2 but rear facing for this one. Just a short 3 lap sprint where I got a good start but over road something chronic missing more apex than I hit. Only took Pav 2 laps to hunt me down. Got him back once more on the final lap but my dream was not to be. 8 odd months to dwell on it before the next classic meeting.

We may not have gotten in all the scheduled races at Hampton Downs on Saturday but the ones we did have were brilliant! ...

We may not have gotten in all the scheduled races at Hampton Downs on Saturday but the ones we did have were brilliant! Had another awesome battle trying to punch above my weight against Pav on the big thou but just couldn't quite do it. Did manage a 1:09.8 which interesting enough puts me only 0.5s off what the top Sportbike managed at AMCC earlier in the season (some power but they are about 35 years newer!) So pretty happy with that!
