Hamilton Golf Club - St Andrews, Hamilton, NZ Hamilton Golf Club began in 1903 and moved to St Andrews where the current course opened in 1913 Our most renown would have to be the par 3 18th.

The St Andrews course was opened in April 1913, and while originally an inland links style course, today it is more picturesque with some holes bordering the mighty Waikato River. None more so the challenging par 5 fourth hole, a short dogleg giving the player many options on the drive and second shot, but the river is always lurking to catch the wayward shot. While protected by bunkers surrounding the green that catch any shot lacking in direction and distance, it's the 2.8 metre deep front bunker that's most intimidating. St Andrews of Hamilton has proudly hosted numerous top amateur & professional events, including open championships prior to 1980, Men's & Women's National Amateur events, the 32nd Queens Sirikit Cup in 2010 and the annual Brian Perry Classic Pro-Am.

💙 Dr Neal Turner Memorial Jug 🤍

What a truly special day we had on Saturday as family, friends and fellow golfers came together to remember and celebrate our much-loved friend, Dr Neal Turner. ⛳️💙
The clubhouse was full, the laughter was flowing and there were plenty of wonderful memories shared throughout the day. It was exactly the kind of occasion Neal would have loved-great golf from some of you 😁, good company and everyone enjoying themselves.
A huge congratulations to our overall winners, Simon Brandon & Murray Gutry, pictured receiving Neal's Memorial Jug alongside his daughters, Robin & Adrienne. 🏆👏
A heartfelt thank you to Neal's family for joining us and making the day so meaningful, and to everyone who played, helped out or came along to show their support. 💙🤍
Neal may no longer be walking the fairways with us, but his memory, friendship and love of the game will always remain a special part of Hamilton Golf Club - St Andrews. 💙⛳️
