NISS Show Hunter Cup Results

​Last Sunday, Emma Berejoni, Olivia Stone, Ruby Stirling, and Caitlin O'Neil represented Dio at the NISS Show Hunter Cup held at St Peter's. The girls enjoyed a successful day with their horses, securing several ribbons and representing the school with great Dio spirit! 🐴🐎🐴

WaiBOP Cross Country Championships 2026 🏃‍♀️

​It was a stunning day at the beautiful South Farms in Mangatarata yesterday for the WaiBOP Cross Country Champs.

​Our athletes faced a challenging course and rose to the occasion brilliantly. We are thrilled to celebrate two fantastic top-10 results from the day:

​Charlotte Hoy: 4th Place (Under 16 Girls)
​Zara Wilson: 8th Place (Senior Girls)

Alanna is donning the Silver Fern! 🇳🇿🏊‍♀️

A massive congratulations to Alanna Rawson for being selected into the New Zealand Junior Tri Series Swimming Championships Black team!

She’s off to Karratha, Western Australia, running from July 6–11, 2026 to take on the best youth and junior talent from New Zealand, Western Australia and Victoria.

11 YEARS IN A ROW! 🥇🏆
Yesterday, our Dio swimmers absolutely smashed it at the Waikato Secondary School Swimming Championships, retaining our title as the Top Girls School for the 11th consecutive year!
With a whopping 886 points, the girls also secured 2nd place overall.
Major Highlights:
🕒 Record Breaker: Alanna Rawson set a brand new WSS record in the Intermediate 50m Backstroke!
🏊‍♀️ Relay Dominance: A clean sweep of podium finishes across the 14&U and 15&O Freestyle and IM relays!
Proud is an understatement. Thank you to our amazing teacher and parent volunteers for your incredible support on the poolside! 👏

Our 1st XI Cricket Team wrapped up their 2025/26 season in style, with two of our superstars taking home the top individual honors for the entire region:

Back on 11 May, our incredible golf team of Mary, Kate, and Ruby hit the greens at the WSS Golf Tournament in Matamata.
Not only did they bring their absolute A-game, but they also stood out in the best way possible—as the only all-girls team competing in the entire field against all the boys' teams! Talk about holding your own and breaking boundaries.
We are so proud of the focus, skill, and amazing sportsmanship they showed out there. They didn't just compete; they paved the way.
