Great day out for our wāhine yesterday at the Sport Jiu-Jitsu Int. Fed. world championships in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 Charlotte Scheffler had a fantastic match in her semifinal, where she showed off an incredibly strong attacking game. Unfortunately she ran out of time while securing the finish and narrowly lost on points. Lily ran a repeat of last year and won the Purplebelt open weight women’s division.

These two are both such great role models in the gym for all our younger athletes, and have really taken all our female grapplers under wing 🪽 We couldn’t be happier having you both at the front of our team 🙌

Our rangatahi are on the mats from tomorrow onwards and these two are back up again for Gi aswell. Goodluck team!

WORK HARD, PLAY HARD • REGAN MCFALL wins his MMA debut via first round Americana submission. This man has been putting in such hard mahi all camp, running both his business and Unified MMA, and still making time to drive across from Te Awamutu and train in our early morning MMA classes and giving up every Friday evening with the family for this camp. It’s been a real pleasure to watch that pay off tonight, competing against such a tough opponent from Rogue Training Centre. Congratulations Regan Mcfall 🙌🙌

This is the perfect chance to put your own special blend of striking and grappling skills into action. With a wide range of partners available from hobbyists through to professional fighters, you’ll always have the chance to try some new skills and build your style!
