“Freestyle Unleashed” is designed to...

Be a in-house studio community showcase that prioritizes expression, support, and joy over perfection. Here we will celebrate movement, confidence, creativity, and connection within our studio.

The goal is to create a supportive studio environment where students and instructors of all levels feel safe to dance without pressure, choreography, or performance expectations. Low pressure, playful spot prizes, potentially attracting both beginners and advanced students.

The name above is about the passion inside of ourselves that flows through freely through intuitive movement. That's when we truly sparkle inside. This is also our studio culture.

INTRODUCING THE OTHER AMAZING BURLESQUE TEACHER The Original Sally Stardust ✨️✨️✨️

Sally Stardust is a real life faerie from outer space making the best of their time on this planet. Sally began their performance career in 2014 and has been dazzling audiences with their unique stage presence ever since. Homegrown in Richmond VA, the stars recently aligned to transplant Sally to the beautiful land of Aotearoa. Using their voice as an artist to raise awareness for chronic illness and disability advocacy is something that Sally, as a proud disabled and chronically ill performer, holds dear to their heart. Staying true to their Gemini nature, their performances display a dynamic range from silly and nerdy to sensual and powerful. Sally is one half of Pink Faerie Productions, spreading joy through queer-centered, accessible burlesque shows. Keep watch for a peek at this neurosparkly shooting star! Sightings have been reported all along the East Coast of the US and beyond for over a decade. Descended from the cosmos, they’re all the fuel your imagination needs.

Until their international move, Sally had been producing inclusive burlesque shows in Richmond VA since 2017. They also perform alongside Jacqueline Boxx in the duet duo Always2. They were featured performers at the International Nerdlesque Festival in 2025. Sally was one of the founding producers of the RVA Burlesque Festival during its inaugural year in 2021. Sally has taken classes from many big names and legends in the burlesque scene throughout their career, including current Duchess of Exotic World winner Peekaboo Point. As a nonbinary, disabled performer they offer a unique and accessible perspective to aspiring performers.

We are so excited for Burlesque classes to start at The Studio. First one FRIDAY 9TH OCTOBER.

WE WOULD LOVE TO INTRODUCE THE TEACHERS Jacqueline Boxx and The Original Sally Stardust (in next post).
They come with so much knowledge and experience and we are so so privileged to have them share their passion with us ❤️ Hamilton NZ is super lucky!

INTRODUCING JACQUELINE BOX
Jacqueline Boxx's mobility aids are as enticing as her activism, and she packs an aesthetic and emotional punch, whether she brings classic tease, nerdlesque, or neo-burlesque to the stage. Her burlesque debut came in 2006 under the tutelage of NYC performer Rose Wood. Her background included trapeze, hooping, cabaret, musical theater, bellydance, clowning, ballet, and numerous other kinds of performance art. As her disability increased, many of these performance outlets became inaccessible… until she burst back onto the burlesque stage in 2015 with a renewed feeling of partnership with her disabled body and mobility aids at the ready. She has taught workshops and lectured on panels about mindful movement and adaptive performance across the world, headlining in Adelaide, Vienna, Montreal, and she has now landed in Aotearoa (New Zealand) to stay. Jacqueline has become a voice for disabled justice on festival advisory boards worldwide, and her work has been studied academically for its contribution to the field.

Jacqueline has competed and been featured at the Burlesque Hall of Fame (BHoF) four times in total and, in 2017, she became the first performer to ever compete in a wheelchair for a title at the BHoF Weekender. She was the 2023 Monarch of Pacific Northwest Burlesque and the 1st Runner up "SupaFly" of the 2023 What the Funk Festival.  21st Century Burlesque Magazine named her one of the top 50 most influential burlesque performers in the world in 2022.  Her first stage wheelchair is now a part of BHoF’s permanent collection.

Her acts are all related in some way to her experience with chronic pain and limited mobility, and she strives to bring attention through glamour and spectacle to disability.  She is: Miss Disa-burly-TEASE!
