Queen & King of the Bay : Only 16 Days to Go!

The countdown is on, just 16 days until we crown the next Queen and King of the Bay!

This iconic ocean surfski event is rarely held outside of summer, but this year we’re mixing it up with an early Autumn edition, and honestly, it’s shaping up perfectly.

Tasman Bay has been turning it on lately with regular wind and waves almost every day, and the water temperatures are still warm, so you can expect all the summer vibes… just without the peak-season crowds.

We’re also excited about the change of starting in Marahau this year. It’s a slightly longer course, which opens up some fresh line options along the coastline, more strategy, more movement, more ocean reading. Just how we like it.

It’s shaping up to be another epic weekend of ocean paddling, good people, dynamic conditions, and that unbeatable Tasman Bay backdrop.
