Rhythm & Grace School of Dance A Ballet studio owned by Kristie Aynsley, with classes for children and adults. We use the BBO syllabus for both ballet and musical theatre lessons

Kristie Aynsley is Rhythm & Grace School of Dance's ballet teacher. I have taken ballet classes since I was 5 years old, and passed all exams up to Grade 6 in the Cecchetti ballet syllabus, continuing on to pass up to my Intermediate exam in the BBO syllabus. My aim is to have relaxed, enjoyable classes for students of all ages and abilities, while preparing them for examinations. We celebrate our learning with a concert at the end of the year - always a fantastic event.

Last week of term 2! It's a bit chilly out there, so let's have a pyjama week! PJs, dressing gowns, onesies - all are welcome to be worn to class this week if you want to ☺️
Also, exam info will be emailed out sometime this week 💖

Felicity and I had a great training day in Christchurch yesterday, doing a course led by Marie, the founder of Progressing Ballet Technique. I am now able to teach PBT and will be implementing small sessions in between senior classes starting this term! Junior classes will have some exercises added in to their usual class. Very excited to be able to add PBT to our studio classes!

I'm looking forward to seeing all new and returning dancers this week! We will be sorting and ordering uniform (shoes, tights, leotards) this week, so please come knowing what you need.
