Of course many will recognise this as the name of the oval where we play cricket. 🏏

Here's a wonderful photo of the great Arthur Fong in his Star R.F.C club jersey. At a guess, this photo would be from the late 1920's, and he'd possibly have been in his late teens or early 20's.

Thanks everyone for another great cricket season.

Fifteen years ago, Coast cricket was in a real downward spiral. It’s fair to say the game is now well and truly on the up, and that’s because of all of you — the players, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who continue to give their time to our great game.

Cricket 🏏 on the Coast only works because people care about it, and this season has been another reminder of that.

Keep warm over the winter, and we’ll see you all again when the sun comes back out. 🌞

As we wind up another season - the association wants to shout out to Michael Cook!

In his 2 seasons as GDO our cricket offerings have progressed significantly. We consistently hear how professional and supportive he is. He’s smiling (most of the time 😃 ) and he knows how to engage kids parents and schools!! We thank you for all you’ve done these past 2 seasons!! You’re a star ⭐️.

Awesome day for West Coast Yr 7/8 cricket festival today. Around 140 kids enjoying the experience of traditional hard ball or modified soft ball games at Arthur Fong Park - Greymouth.
Huge highlight was 52 girls playing, along with 4 Grry High sec school girls umpiring. Very exciting to see them in action.
Big thanks to Mike Cook for his coordination of the festival day on the back of his school delivery program👏👏
