DWC is proud to support upgrades to this important regional asset.

Our ports play a critical role in regional connectivity, resilience and long-term economic growth. DWC has committed $1.2 million towards the Greymouth Port upgrades and $1.66 million towards the redevelopment of Westport Port.

These investments have helped unlock additional Government funding through the Regional Infrastructure Fund.

DWC was honoured to receive the Supreme Award at the PRINZ Awards last night, as well as:

- Gold Award – Best Use of Media Relations
- Gold Award – Government Relations & Public Affairs
- Silver Award - PR In-house Team of the Year

For a small team from the Coast, it was incredibly humbling to be recognised alongside some of the country's largest agencies, corporates and communications teams.

Over the past year, DWC helped generate more than 230 positive national and international media stories highlighting our people, businesses, projects and opportunities. Every one of those stories relied on local businesses, community organisations and individuals who were willing to share their experiences and ideas.

The Coast is full of people doing amazing things, and we're fortunate to help share some of those stories with a wider audience.

The West Coast recently hosted 39 international travel sellers, giving them the opportunity to experience the region first-hand and see what makes the Coast so special.

The West Coast has welcomed 39 international travel trade representatives to the region as part of an extensive familiarisation programme held alongside TRENZ 2026, New Zealand's largest tourism trade event.
