⚫️🟡🔴 Exciting news 🔴🟡⚫️

Together with the help of Rugby League Southland some Eastern rugby clubs are putting together a 5 week junior rugby leauge competition starting late October, to run on Wednesday evenings (this is subject to change) held here in Gore!

Juniors start from ages 8-13 potentially creating a pathway into Rugby League Southlands older youth competitions which are held at Rugby Park.

U14, U16, U18 Southland Competition starting 2027 so also looking for interest in that.

Please come along to the Albion Clubrooms on Thursday afternoon 4pm onwards to Register & have a chat.

Adults / Parents, we need you aswell, If you would like to be apart of the working body behind all of this we would appreciate it 🙏🙏

Our Albion yr6 lads playing for Southland Country today down at Oreti Park. They came away with a good win against Southland Metro

What a great turn out last night to celebrate all the great rugby our kids have played this season!

2026 season has been great, we've seen the kids go from strength to strength on the field, building great friendships & respect for each other. We are especially proud of how well our Albion kids welcomed & blended with kids from Riversdale & that surrounding community to create a strong A grade team.

With the support from you all we managed to run a very successful fundraiser & raffle - this is a huge help to running costs of the club, new training & field equipment, as well as being able to continue to provide mouthguards to all our kids ☺️

We ask you to continue to support our sponsors when you can - their contributions are a HUGE part of running the club.

The kids are lucky to have an excellent bunch of coaches that devote their time & energy running around the countryside to guide & support them through their sport 🏉

We are excited & looking forward to seeing all current & new Albion players next year 🙌

Southland Carbon yr7&8 travelled to Athol to take on Mossburn yesterday.

Was a great experience to play on a field that rarely gets played on anymore so thanks heaps to the organisers for inviting us to play there.

Luckily that white stuff stayed up on the hills ❄️🥶

Here are some great shots of our yr6 Albion team in action yesterday 🔴🟡⚫️

They played absolutely awesome & had 3 wins & 1 draw 🙌 Unfortunately it came down to points differentiation & they missed the semi final by only 2 tries.

Well done kids for giving it your all

The yr4 team had an awesome morning today at the 7s tournament.

Played their best rugby of the year including an epic come-from-behind-win with a try to win it in the last minute 🔥🔥

They were sat top of the pool halfway through the morning but unfortunately didn’t quite have luck or the results go our way in the last couple of games.

Every player played so well though!
