🏏 Property Brokers Girls – A Day We Couldn't Miss!
With four awesome teams involved in the Primary Festival this is an opportunity we simply couldn’t pass up. Each team will play two T20 games on Sunday, with winners playing winners and losers playing losers in the second round.
But let’s be clear — these games aren’t about results.
They’re about growth, learning, and the connections the girls have built throughout the festival. The smiles, the friendships, the confidence… that’s the real win.

What a beautiful day of cricket for the South Malvern Miners Section 2B against the Peninsula Harbour Section 2 Orcas.

Stunning weather, great spirit, and a lovely BBQ put on by our hosts after the game, such generous hospitality.

After the match, the Miners made the most of the long trip by heading down for a swim in the ocean, thanks to Peninsula for sharing an awesome local swimming spot.

Days like this are a great reminder of what cricket is all about; connection, sportsmanship, and celebrating together.
What a day! 🏏🌊

🔆Tuesday Highlight! 🔆

Saturday morning saw South Malvern and a team made up from Selwyn Wahine, Tai Tapu Cricket Club and Halswell Cricket Club take to the field for a friendly game before their regular Saturday cricket starts again.

Rain delayed the start of the game for a short time - we were on the field by 9.15am. The rain stayed away for the rest of the game.

A number of the girls had played in the Y7/8 January Festival in one of the four Canterbury Country Cricket teams and they enjoyed playing together again.
Both sides batted well with several fours from both teams. Likewise with the bowling with both teams taking regular wickets. The South Malvern team came away with the win.

A big thank you to the Selwyn Wahine, Tai Tapu and Halswell players and supporters for making the trip out to the coal pit (Glentunnel Domain), it was great to have you all there.
Thank you to South Malvern for hosting the game and providing the sausage sizzle at the end. Great to get the girls together for these friendly games.
