In class we often reference pelvic floor muscles.
They are a layer of muscles that stretch like a hammock at the base of your pelvis and run from the p***c bone at the front to the tailbone at the back. They support your bladder and bowel, help control when you go to the loo.
Your deep tummy muscles and your pelvic floor muscles work together as part of your inner core and act like a connected team to support your spine and manage pressure inside your body.
Last week we found a movement that helped locate these muscles so we could see their relevance in Inner Thigh Lifts & Leg Circles.
