One last team list. One last time pulling on the Bears jersey together this season and what an incredible opportunity you’ve earnt.

Today, these young men proudly represent the Glenora Westside Bears on the Grand Final stage as they take on the Otara Scorpionsđź’Ş

To our Westside Bears: look at how far you’ve come and be proud of yourselves. You’ve earnt your place here through the way you’ve competed, grown and continued to show up for one another. You don’t need to be anything more than the team you already are.

Trust yourselves. Trust each other and believe that you belong here.

There will be pressure and moments when the game challenges you. Stay composed, encourage each other and keep moving forward together. If something doesn’t go your way, lift your head and focus on the next moment. Your greatest strength has always been what you can achieve when you stand together.

Every contribution matters today. The carries, the tackles, the support runs, the encouragement and the efforts that nobody else notices. Whatever your role is, embrace it and give it everything you have.

When your brother needs you, be there. When he succeeds, celebrate with him. When he needs lifting, remind him who he is. Keep believing in one another from the opening whistle until the very last.

Most importantly, enjoy this moment. Grand Finals are special and you’ve earnt the opportunity to experience one together. Play with confidence, play with heart and be proud every time you look down and see that Bears jersey on your chest.

🚨WESTSIDE BEARS LINE UP🚨

This is your moment. Our Glenora Westside Bears are ready to take the field against the New Lynn Stags, with a place in the Grand Final on the line. The challenge is big but so is the belief we have in this group of young menđź’Ş

To our Westside Bears: Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come. You’ve grown together, learnt together and continued to lift one another through every high and every challenge. Now you have the opportunity to step onto that field and show the heart, courage and brotherhood that have carried this team throughout the season.

Believe in yourselves and believe in the brothers standing beside you. You don’t need to do anything extraordinary, just do your job, trust your instincts and give your best effort every time you’re called upon. Encourage each other, celebrate the little wins and keep moving forward together. When one brother makes a tackle, be there beside him. When one makes a break, be the first one pushing up in support. Whatever happens, never let your brother feel like he’s fighting alone.

Play with freedom and enjoy the opportunity you’ve worked so hard for. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes but be brave enough to keep going, keep competing and keep believing in what you can achieve together. When the pressure comes, stay calm. When you’re tired, find something extra for the teammate beside you and when you look around that field, remember you’re surrounded by brothers who are willing to do exactly the same for you.

You’ve earnt the right to be here. Now go out there and make yourselves proud. Play for your families, your coaches, your supporters and the jersey on your chest but above all, play for each other🔥
