Gisborne Boys' High School would like to announce that Mr Duane Hihi is stepping down as the Head Coach of GBHS 1stXV. He has been in this position for the past 3 years and made great progress, growing the performance of the team to the point where GBHS were Hurricanes Top 4 contenders in 2024.

We would like to thank Duane and his wife/manager, Carmen Hihi for their dedication and support of our boys over the last 3 years and the hours that this big job entails. Ngā mihi nui - Toa hinga kore, Toa mate kore.

That's a wrap!
For the first time in over a decade we made it to play offs, falling short in the semi final. Congratulations to Feilding AG and Palmerston North BHS for making it to the Hurricanes finals. We wish you the best.
We would like to take this time to thank all of our sponsors who have helped us throughout our season, we appreciate you! To our whanau and supporters for bringing the Rectory to life with your presence and for following us across the motu to our away games, thank you! To our management team thank you for your tireless mahi, week in, week out. Thank you to your whanau for sharing you with us! And thank you to our boys. For your commitment and time and for putting your bodies on the line each week for the love of the game, the jersey, the school, the community and the brotherhood.
