💙 A huge thank you to Sharon Grant, Hazel and Pauline Gilroy for stepping up and speaking on behalf of Rhythm n’ Lines at the Tairāwhiti Multicultural Hub funding support hui on Monday night.
They were backed by a hearty crew of RnL members who turned up, danced, and stood alongside other Hub users in support of the funding application. It was wonderful to see so many people giving their time to support a space that means so much to our community.
We had hoped to speak directly with the Trust Tairāwhiti committee, but as they were unable to attend, a video was created featuring the many groups who use the Hub.
Trust Tairāwhiti considers this funding application on 24 June, we thought we’d share the video and give our wider RnL community another opportunity to add their voice.
• How would improved flooring benefit your dancing?
• How would air conditioning improve your experience?
• Have you made friends, gained confidence, improved your wellbeing, or found a sense of belonging through activities at the Hub?
• Why is having a welcoming community space like this important to Tairāwhiti?
If, like me, you were unwell or unable to attend on the night, here’s your opportunity to have your say.
Thank you for continuing to support not only Rhythm n’ Lines but the wider Tairāwhiti community . 💙👢🏢✨
